Memorial Day Weekend: Driving up the coast of New England
Hampton Beach:

Portsmouth:

York Beach:

They had the best ice cream!

Old Orchard Beach:

Guess who has an estate in Kennebunkport, Maine?

Here's a hint.......They wave a Texas flag along with the American flag in maine If you guessed President Bush, you guessed right! So we can neither confirm or deny that we saw Bush Sr. or Bush Jr. (They both own it), but there were people walking around the Bush estate, AND, a local told us they were there because the cigar boat was in the water.....who knew? At lunch we asked our waitress what there was to see around the town of Kennebunkport, and she pointed us in the direction of the Bush estate. This was a pleasant surprise-You never know what you're going to end up seeing on a road trip. Kennebunk Beach:

ps, Maine is awesome. It was my first time to the state, and I was pleasantly surprised. They have great beaches!

This past week, Ryan and I got to go to the Red Sox game twice. Tuesday night we went by ourselves, the seat were just ok, and it was pretty cold, but none the less that game was fun and we won.

Game two was on Wednesday night and was sponsered by my company. The seats were much better, weather was perfect, tickets were free and Papi hit his first home run of the season. It was awesome.
Friday was also beautiful out so I walked home from work- I just love all the sailboats out on the river!

We had a swingin good time up in NH last weekend with our friends. We started the trip at OUR favorite restaurant, and finished the trip at a Yum Yum Bakery. Food is important, obviously.

When we weren't eating we were going on this rollar coaster of a swing that launches you into the water. Only the boys were brave enough to actually jump into the freezing cold water, but it was still fun to swing back and forth above.

Thanks again Ashley and Mason- good thing we avoided hitting that turtle or the whole weekend could have been ruined.

Yay for Keukenhof, the Disneyland of Tulip Festivals, it is only open for 2 months during the year, and the last minute decision to head out of town to see millions of the county of Holland's biggest export (Tulips) was the best decision of the whole trip. There, I said it, Keukenhof was the #1 highlight of the entire trip.

Amsterdam: City of Canals, Bikes, and the Red Light District. Ooh La La.

We rented bikes to feel like a local.
"Look, Piper, no hands!"
We also took a canal boat tour, which was kind of lame, but unforgettable because our boat captian totally crashed into one of the walls of the canal and then blamed it on people sleeping in the back of the boat.
On first inspection of this picture of my bike, it looks like a completely innocent scene.
However, on closer inspection, it appears that a local locked their bike onto mine, leaving me with the only option of cutting them loose. I don't know if anyone stole their unlocked bike, but I was tempted to leave a "For Free" sign on it, but that Christian heart of mine got the better of me. Dang it.
Waiting for a tour of the Anne Frank House. Red Lights in Amsterdam can only mean one thing........I must say, walking around checking out those who participate in this shocking legal profession was definitely a highlight. Very interesting, and a must see.
This city was so cool looking!
This trip was only made possible because of Rick Steves and Mom and Dad Johnston. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
