We had a great Fourth of July! First we went downtown to the Old State House where they read the Declaration of Independence every year. It just happens to be the exact balcony that they read the Declaration for the first time back in 1776. They had a mini parade going on at the same time with the Minute Men volunteer band...... the colonials. Ryan wants to be a fifer now!
Boston goes all out on the Fourth. The Boston Pops perform for 2 hours....along with the Blue man group and John Mellencamp. Let's just say we had "R. O. C. K. in the U. S. A" in our heads the entire night. After the performance they have a firework show on the river. The only unfortunate thing about the holiday was the poor weather, but we still enjoyed ourselves.
On Saturday, we went to the Museum of Science.
This is the largest indoor Van de Graaff generator.
Saturday evening we went out to Foxboro to the New England Patriot's Stadium for a New England Revolution soccer game.
